Infantry and a Infantry Transport.

Hello there =o
I've got two new finished GDI Units, the Light Infantry and the APC.
Armed Personel Transport - Cost: 900$
The APC is not exactely the fastest way to get across the battlefield, but pretty much the safest one. It has a relatively weak auto cannon on top,, which can only fire to the sides and forwards, not backwards however but a tank like armor. Has a capacity of 6 infantry units.

-----------------
Light Infantry - Cost: 200$
The backbone of the GDI Forces is the Infantry. Commanders can train them with several different configurations, like assault infantry, anti vehicle solder or jumpjet trooper. The Commando configuration also features a jetpack and a nanomechanical suit which help to move faster and aim with more accuracy.

That's all for now.

I can skin FFS. I won't add any more detail to the infantry since ingame, you can barely SEE their gun, and to the APC neither, because I don't know what else to add.

I really don't like the attempt you've made at doing scratches etc. along the edges of the armor on the apc.

I'm gonna have to agree with Warbz here. It seems that the scratches remind me of an old tailors drawing using chalk on fabric. There is too much lightness in the seems of the model. "I" would personally prefer to see more detail on the skin itself in terms of texture. Right now it does seem like the skin merely outlines the edges of the model and highlights it, rather than being an integral part of the skill intself.

I sincerely love the APC, it remind me C&C1, don't worry, your units are superb.
The only thing to correct would be the first scratches of the APC.

Have you changed the APC skin? It looks better than what I remember it looking like. 0.o

Not EVERY edge needs to be scratched up either. Just keep it to the corners, if you know what I mean.

Points of improvement:
APC:
Infantry:
APC:
- Dodge and Burn! Your skin has no depth whatsoever.
- Add details! Bars, grates, ladders, rivets, handles... anything that you want (just don't overdo it TOO much). A little detail goes a long way.
- Bevel/reverse bevel the windows and the lights.
- On the colour and the logo - make it blend in better to the back of the skin, they stand out a bit too much.
- Add some other detail such as dirt near the bottom and near the wheel shielding or discolouration of major edges (not every poly line!) to indicate it's been to hell and back.
Infantry:
- Fix the proportions. He looks far too top-heavy.
- Once again, dodge and burn!
- Add some details such as scratching/dents on the armour.
- I'm pretty sure if he's in a war he won't be wearing joggers. Change them to grey boots or something of the sort.
- Logo is too small to be seen ingame. Either remove or resize.

I will add those on the damaged skinns, not on the normal ones. Reason: WHY should a unit come damaged out of the factory? I mean, wtf?

I know, tho it was rather directed to Wizard.
But still, the "battlescratch" damage you said would, imho, not fit to a recently assembled unit...

How is that directed to me? When did I say "A unit should come damaged out of the War Factory?"
???
I said this

What I said is exactly what Alias said only in less detail. I have offered to help you what more do you want?

It was directed to your "add more details" post, I just meant that people tell me to add details, but never what kind of details

Well when you start saying "blah blah...when it comes out of a WF damaged" you can see how it gets confusing.
In the interests of not spoiling your update thread any further on this, you know I am always available on MSN and I have said I'd help where I can. Talk to me over the weekend mate.
BTW the housecolour additions and other decals you added have already improved it, but I told you that anyway

I wonder if that apc is amphibious....
Also I agree with the others about the skin.
