The MARV in KW was like that. 4 Zone Raiders in a MARV made the thing unkillable, regardless of the fact that it made it cost like $10,000

i have played Uprising now and i personaly find it the most dissapointing C&C exp pack to have ever played.

The new units are totaly uninspiring borring in their use have little personality or purpose over the units that were previously present in the game.
Ontop of that the future tank as nice as the design actualy is is just ridiculous cosindering that thing can out range and out gun even an apocalypse tank which has always been the most powerfull ground unit availible in the game.

They should just have made future tech a seperated army all together rather than butchering the allied army into it.

The only Uprising unit that has any particular purpose is the Archer Maiden.

Then again, it should have been in Ra3 to begin with.

Cheers mate, that'd be the straw that broke the camel's back for me; I'm not gonna buy this game.
Who knows, maybe a future RA game might introduce Futuretech (or the Netherlands) as a new faction for real.

Also, in before people who claim that it's of course perfectly reasonable for the Apocalypse to be not the mightiest tank in the game.

Price isn't a way to balance things out, regardless if it costs $100,000,000,000,000,000,000 or $-10. Archer Maiden...hmm. I think sticking RA3 and it's mods will be better, then...

I'm frankly beginning to hate it too. But purely because I can't play it. It crashes 15 minutes in ALWAYS.

Reasons He's not stating what he hates, he's just basically saying "what a shit game" when he ain't providing what's good/bad about it. If he hates it so much shut the door on C&C and don't play it again, simple it's not as if EA is forcing you to play it now is it? :P

I don't want to cause a fight but I'm just tired of the typical EA bashing when other companies are just as bad.

My opinion on all of those new units is also not that positive.

Every unit is a unit on itself and isn't mingled into the faction. Aside from the bike, they are all awesome on their own, but that is their only purpose. They were designed apart from eachother without any regard whether the unit 'fits' or not.

I mean the Pacifier. Look at the description. It says that it is better than the Athena at every front. Now what use is left for that unit? It is slower, less versatile, apparently has less range (why the hell it needs more range than Athena is a complete mystery to me), less destructive power, and the pacifier can even defend itself with dual vulcans.

Totally uninspired unit as well. Athena has a cool concept, this is just boring.

And futuretank is just ridiculous and the design is stupid. Ripoff of the terminator robots in Terminator 3, and it is ugly.

This better not become a multplayer expansion.

Soviets need something other than freaking projectile weaponry, Japan and the Allies both have lasers or some other form of unconventional weaponry like lasers or energy balls. And what do the soviets have? They have tesla coils on 2 things! one of them being a static structure. We need to bring back tesla tanks, and forgive my language but I think its necessary. EA BRING BACK TESLA TANKS MOTHER FUCKERS! (yes I know there in campaign but if japan can build flying heads then the soviets should get tesla tanks.)

Which, sadly, isn't enough because Stingrays (I think that's what the Tesla boats are called) are sluggish (on land), thin-skinned and fire too slowly. They may be halfway decent in sea battles, especially in numbers, but on land, they get overwhelmed by tanks easily. The actual Tesla-Tank on the other hand is quite effective against vehicles and better armoured so YES, it DOES have a niche to fill and they better add it.

On the other hand...if EA doesn't add it in, you could do it yourself if the SDK is ever released :P

GREAT IDEA! :P

Though I would really love to see Tesla implemented in some form in some sort of aircraft.

Yeah, 'cos that's totally the same thing as enabling a unit which has been available in singleplayer SINCE THE GAME CAME OUT. <.<

But as TPAM says, a Tesla aircraft of some sort would actually be kind of interesting......

Unless it was something like the Lancet Aerial Artillery* from Star Wars: Empire at War - Forces of Corruption there is no way I can see that working. IMO the electro-bombs on the Kirov are the best you're going to get with a Tesla aircraft.

*In the (very likely) event you haven't heard of this, the Lancet is a hovering shuttle with a proton beam cannon that sits next to things and fries them over time with a crackling stream of energy. Then again it would be sort of like a Twinblade but less interesting, at least how it ended up in game.
