Thanks a bunch!

Just curious though, do my writings sound scary?

Everyone says they do... :bigeye:

I just don't understand why because I am a very cheerful person. :)

I wouldn't say that your poem sounds scary, but its just the other end of the spectrum of peoms that I have seen here.

I know the feeling. Take a look at mine if you haven't already. They may seem dark and depressing, but I do truly love fun and have a cheery disposition most of the time :) . Your poem was scary, but I could see why people may think so.

What did that mean? o.O

"Your poem was scary, but I could see why people may think so."

It's almost as if you were contradicting yourself... :)

So, what do you REALLY mean? :)

I think what he means is that he can see why other people find your poem scary.

Atlantis said exactly what I meant.

Anyway, as promised, I was inspired, so here's a little poem I thought up:

Rushing Forward Only to Fall Back

Broken fields and white washed tombs
is the end not near?

Plastic Hollywood (oh cursed facade)
your flowers will never wilt

I see the trees bent
form War's undying grasp

I see the tattered sky
choking on the funeral pyres

Is it not the end
when the sky burns red
Is it not the end
when the ground runs slick
I can't tell anymore
because this blackened earth
has covered up my eyes

This mourning's sun will never rise
It's not over but
I feel the time will come
when we stand together
gazing at the golden stretch of sky

Nuker

Hinata Prime your poems aren't scary they are full how to say - blight. But not scary ,wastelands of dead beings aren't scary until they arise to walk again :D

The Gamer's Cantata

Rise up
Stand up

Pick your pathetic mugs off the floor
It's time we fight today
It's time we live today

Smash those text-based dreams
with pixelated hammers
Bash the molds that make your hands sore

Sniff the lines of code
Wake up to the shrieks of modems
screaming
streaming
data from the mainstream
Downloading life's quaint instructions

This life is not your own
but someone's suited up fantasy
Someone's bound eternity
How long can you stare
at your flat-screened night light

The sound of wars
fought long ago
are flowing through
your high-priced megaphones

Your ears are bleeding
from their so-called truth
and your mind
your mind can't tell the difference

Stand in awe at the felonies
those overused excuses
the man stuffs down our throats
We're supposed to obey
and walk in straight lines
but jail is only a mouse click away
and it's so easy
to copy and paste our way into infamy

Send the alphabet
through a contorsionist's swing
as you scribe your way
to a 10 year sentence

Wisk away your moments of freedom
as your music beats happily
from a twelth story balcony
Say goodbye
to your innocent curiosity
as your firewall fizzles

Stand up
Rise up
It's time we die today

Here's my newest piece:

Mr. Heart On Sleeve

So now I understand
what I've been told
has been made false
Just a few words
can turn the tide
the tide that takes us home
Drifting about
on a febble raft

Oh how cruel fate is
that tells us how to live
and what we'll do today
I wish I couldn't breathe
I wish I couldn't see
this end(eavor) that lies before me
Waiting
Watching
Haunting my every move

I can't get you back
No I'll never hold you close
My heart is aching
so this feeling will keep on breaking
what little progress I make
Here's my heart and a stake
I'm sure you can do the math

You're happy
and I'm glad
Clowns are tearing up my hope
You can't see me now
I'm overdue
can't return or I'll have to pay
I've got a box of happiness
that I left in the rain
Open it and tell me what you find
Take what you need
leave none for me
I've got a broken heart
I can barter time with

Me again, was not writing in a long time . Again when was inspaired I wrote in english so I can spare with you one bit of my fantasy work

Theatre:

Dreamer god .
It feels like it
You touch
But it perils
You see
But it is only dust
You feel
But those were only memories
Great big white world
Is seen
Out of shades
You worn
Stars change
Their positions/sides
You change
Only the title
There is me and there is we
When dawn comes
Sun leaves only
A damn dream
You breath
Why?
You smoke
How?
You walk
Where?
You smile
Are you dumb?
It's a great big white
Woid
Can you bear
What you had
Become?
Yea
You can..
Now and later
It is the same
Drug
You take
Mindly things
Where have you gone?

nice poems here... i tried to make a poem, too... well its my first english poem:

old times

the wind comes,
it will bring the change
the wind goes,
but no one remembers
and no one knows...

the wind came
in time of moon
now, it is to late,
we had to remember,
we had to know,
the old doom

MYLO

any comments?

there are many of them but I don't now when you can get yourself a tittle of "poet" because it is so relative :/
