I wonder if I am missing something in this game. I am not an idiot when it comes to ADS'ing but there isn't a single thing I can do to get a kill in this game. I am fast learning that it's not for me.

Suggestion, Aim at your sights even at close range and fire burst
Oh c'mon Drag you know I know to ADS, this isn't about that. I haven't even hip fired anything once yet.

That's the point, shooting at shit doesn't seem to work

if it did I wouldn't have a problem. I can be creeping up on someone arming a M-Com with his back to me, unload the weapon into him, he gets up turns round and shoots me twice with a pistol and I die. And this is now, finally, on a non-laggy server.
In my last full game of BC2 I managed 17 kills and 15 deaths, against a bunch of average to above-average players. While the COD games seem to be more of a matter of perfect aim and twitch shooting, the less precise and less "perfect" nature of the guns in BC2 kind of make the playing field a bit more even.
I am not bothered about the skill level of my opponents, and I have probably been playing against average guys myself. I think the issue is not knowing the game and something that I have to say I don't like, having found it hella useful in MW2, is the lack of a proper kill cam. That really does help out people who aren't 'veterans'.

For Wiz specifically : Every gun works differently at different ranges you see, the guns like an LMG for example do not do as much damage if they are hipfired. there is also range penalties in effect at all times. If you want a class that can quickly disperse people at close range you should indeed go Engineer and use the XM8 Compact or the SCAR. If this does not work for you, you can easily go assault and use the XM8 which works efficiently at pretty much any god damn range you put it at. but remember that burst fire is the way to go for most ranges, full auto is more point blank. The F2000 also works but it runs out of ammo as fast as a prostitute runs out of her newly earned money. ALSO, M1a1 Thompson for great justice. all around good gun.
Ok, now that seems to be quite useful. So what weapons have burst fire mode and what ones don't? All of them? I've stuck to either Assault or Medic class so far, both seemingly ineffective at any range tbh. How much spread do the guns have in ADS? Based on the minimal amount I've played, I'd guess at quite a lot, given that I've lost at nearly every encounter.
