Not on my rig...besides even with rain enabled it doesnt lag. Do you see any map with snow falling? I think not.

Blizzards would lag as hell and thus they will either let you choose to have it or not or theyll remove em completely from the SP

Worse, they would force you to have a very good rig as turning them off would give that player a massive advantage (much better sight).

Even then, the rain was far worse in the SP mission.

Nope...never happened so far and never will happen. Weather effects are mostly SP exclusive (due to obvious reasons)

Ah, so that thing is an ACR (it still looks fugly :pnd:) and they call the motion detector a "heart beat sensor". And luckily, they seem to be planning to keep the 47 model of Kalashnikov - the only really nice full-size AK ^^ . I must say that even though it's obviously a WiP - music, sound effects and lots of visuals including weapon icons are still from CoD 4 - it looks incredibly good. The chance is exactly 100% that I'm going to buy this |8 .

What do you two see in the SA80 anyways? Fun fact; early versions dissolved in the mosquito spray the British Army used.

Yeah, it still has the M1014 icon in the early version they're using in the trailer. I hope they make it some kind of worthy pump-action weapon - seriously, they screwed over pump-actions so terribly in CoD4 that it still hurts. And YES, Hobbes, I hope they use the pump-action feature |8 .

Look carefully at the part where the player kills a guy with an AUG...when he's prompted to pick it up, the image on screen is that of an L85A2/SA80. That implies that there is one in game.

The SPAS-12 better be semi-auto...shotguns sucked hard in CoD4, hopefully they'll be better this time around.

How can you have such a chunky pumper and not use it?!

Seriously though, pump-shotguns sucked in CoD4 because of IW's biggest mistakes: Stopping Power (so other weapons can kill in the same amount of shots as shotguns - generally two) and Last Stand (which selectively screwed over certain weapon classes and gave temporary invulnerability), against which especially pump-shotgunners had no serious chance. If these two were eliminated, there would be no reason why pumpers wouldn't work.

stopping power and juggernaut really need to disappear

those are the worst 2 parts of COD4 multiplayer

I wonder if we'll receive any explanation for the peculiar nicknames the last two protagonists have received ('Soap' and 'Roach').

On that thought, it feels to me that history is repeating in regards to MW2's characters. Apart from the cliched storyline that isn't too different from its predecessor, Soap has taken over Captain Price's role as the grizzled mentor [both have the same rank too], and Roach takes over Soap's role as the rookie [again, both the same rank].

Whys that? G3 + Stopping power = win ;)
I think martyrdom is stupid, turns it into even more of a 'nade fest. Im really looking forward to seeing what new perks they come up with, its partly what puts COD4's multiplayer in a diff league from other games imo.

Personally I'm a few thousand times more interested in which perks they omit. They can put all the new red perks in place that they want, they'll never be as useful (or mandatory, yes I'm looking at you, sniper rifles) as Stopping Power. Also, I was personally always glad when someone chose Martyrdom against me since I found it was one of the most useless green perks in the entire game in most gametypes (headquarters is an exception to this rule, as is any game on shipment). Everything Martyrdom did can be simulated by just pulling a nade right before you die.

Any serious loadout consists of either

3x Frags
Stopping Power
Deep Impact

or

3x Frags
Stopping Power
Dead Silence

No other loadouts really merited any real consideration on most gametypes. Because of this, I'd say the game would greatly benefit from the omission of Stopping Power and the changing of 3x Frags to 2x Frags (or a nade nerf to 200 damage or something).

*cough* sleight hand is one the more used perks at higher ranks (well in association with MP5, AK74U and M4) and so is Douple Tap also very common.

Stopping Power is the most useful low to mid rank perk

SoH has its merits, it's definitely useful for assault rifles, submachine guns and especially shotguns and the Skorpion, but a player as good as you will kill you if he has stopping power and you don't, since the combat benefit is simply too gargantuan - for the most popular weapons it boils down to a firepower bonus of 33-50% which other perks in the end just can't compete with. And I suppose we don't even need to get in to how mandatory SP is for snipers since the mere threat of a juggernaut which you can't kill in a single shot is enough to make all other considerations useless. And of course their hit power sucks ass without SP in the first place. Double tap is really only useful for the M60 and W1200, in all other cases SP is better since they both improve kill time by the same amount (or near enough as makes no matter) while DT increases recoil, ammo consumption and makes you have to reload more often. There simply are no reasons to use DT; one of the reasons SP must go IMO. And with it, of course Juggernaut as well.
