Well at the ones I have there werent any outside connections (basically the only connection you had was LAN) so no internet shitz.

I agree with that. At every LAN Party I was (visited by about 10 up to about 100 people), there was an internet connection. Internet is something like electricity and water, nowadays. Heck, I do even have WLAN access in my bathroom
