F*ck you, Activision.
Allright, now thats cleared, the US also seems to have some dubiously low sale prices on some games. I think tis unfair :(

Protip: If it's part of the 'basic sale' list, don't buy it now. It'll likely crop up on a better sale at some point - if not it'll still be on sale right to the bitter end, so buy it then

If there was ever any doubt before, now there is none. They are greedy pigs. Discounts don't fit their corporate model - even if it drives more sales.
MW2 at 50% would sell a fortune...
Regarding today's sale, I don't think I'll be buying anything. I would've bought The Witcher: Enhanced Edition if I hadn't already picked it up a day ago.

Although Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is interesting... I own both anniversary and legend but not on Steam, too bad I can't claim my further discount

The important thing on today is the 75% off the Monkey Island special edition bundle.

id are not being very forthcoming either, tbh. They hardly squeeze out 25% for their games, they even only took off 25% for ancients such as Quake (1996!), Doom 2 (1994!!) and ffs Commander Keen (1990!!!). With base prices much too high to begin with, as well.

Imagine a group of people who are all blind, deaf and slightly demented and suddenly someone in the crowd asks, "What are we to do?"... The only possible answer is, "Look for a cure". Until you are cured, there is nothing you can do.
And since you don't believe you are sick, there can be no cure.

Thing is most of the time when you're playing the witcher and have to make a detour because of a small obstacle (and we're talking about a 10cm step here) you don't even encounter any enemy, you just have to run back to the area you just cleared and go though another route which will simply enable you to get to the exact same spot you could've reached if it wasn't for the objective.
