The grey area around the Z?
Generally you would delete that in photoshop :P

Also try something more complex, best way to start with texturing stuff imo is to go in the deep end (-ish anyway, im not saying go and texture a 10k poly model just yet :sly:)

The community needs some new skinners. Maybe get some models from free resource sites? Or politely ask someone who has unskinned models in their catalogue?

I can help, although a good plethora of my models available are not CnC oriented, they're Star Wars oriented. Just an offer if you're still looking, they would not be for any particular project. They're leftovers from mods I had helped or been apart of. If they get finished, they'd be free released. So there's no "Holy shit would you do this for me?" involved.

Derp Edit : Pav mentions doing high poly items, I have some of them too.

I tried to model something today out of boredom
:xD:
questions
-How do i make a face its own object ( For house color )
-How do i fix that god dam bug on the sides of the chassis ( I think its clear to point out )
-Where could i improve?
-is there a tool to make the object more round ( For barrels and such )

-Select faces/element (red square/red cube) and right click "Detach"
-Remodel that part. From what I can see that would be your easiest option.
-Add more details, use other tanks as refrence. If you want this for ZH I would suggest removing redundant details such as the extruding tank turret sides.
I would also suggest making the tracks seperate objects.
-There is the "Turbosmooth" modifier, but I would recommend either chamfer-ing (You can find it with edges selected in editable poly) or just re-doing it with a higher poly starting cylinder/box.

You can do, you can also use all the options editable poly has to offer, such as connect and inset. Just play around with it

You will have to apply a material (skin) with your own Housecolor

its called NVTREADS.dds and is in one of the Generals .big's

Also its much better if you find these things out yourself by experimenting rather than asking loads of questions |8
