Unless activision had a couple thousand spare RC cars lying around that they needed to shift quickly Im pretty sure it was a kill streak first :xD: (Or probably as part of a mission)

Majority of you dislike it, but I actually like what I saw. Animations are a bit chunky, but meh.

Edit : Those gun sounds are awful, however.

Well to be honest, I'm not too worried if the gameplay's too similar to MW2, because this time around we also have some extra features and dedicated servers (along with inferior animations and sounds as some are saying). If you already have MW2, I agree, there's no reason to get BO. However, I don't own MW2, so I don't lose anything by purchasing a rehashed version of MW2 with the features that MW2 it should've had :read:

To be honest, even though i only had a quick look, it didn't look all that bad.
Sure there were some stupid bits but overall i thought it looked ok.

Mike

Edit - woot for zombie mode.

Call of Duty has plenty of originality. However, certain elements such as combat mechanics are a constant throughout the series.

Zombies though...

well it was one of the most popular features of WaW, and probably the only reason i ever pop the game in from time to time still, so i think its totally understandable for them to remake it. I for one am excited about it.

Zombie mode was moderately fun for a while, but I'm (not unjustifiably) afraid Treyarch will jump ship again and focus only on the zombies mode, neglecting the main game.

Zombie mode was great fun, especially when you got a group of people who knew how to play it properly...

And if they focus more on that then the rest of the game (which wouldnt really be the case, since multiplayer is CoD's main selling point anyway), then fair play to them. Since the zombie expansion packs sold millions.

I do have to say, I'm very glad they added the SVD. I really missed it in MW2, especially since it was actually in the game files. And I'm even more pleased they used the correct PSO-1 reticle for it unlike previous CoDs where all scopes had the same piss-ugly British reticle.

Well like I said, THAT is substantial. That means that in the event that Treyarch mess up all weapon balance we can balance it ourselves :P .

But seriously though, that's really awesome news. It's surprising and relieving that Treyarch, always in the shadow of Infinity Ward, have chosen to continue on the path of light :P

see what they're doing to us?

take out one vital part of a product that you know will sell BILLIONS anyway and then reinstate it in the next one with huge fat smiles, telling us: "hey look, our games has X. didn't see that coming did you?"

absolutely disgusting, and that's the reason why i don't buy games any more.

Of course they do. Personally though, despite me not buying any game just because it has dedis, I think not buying anything just because commercialism is a disgusting thing, is a huge hippie statement that will only hurt yourself in the end.

September 1st. Well, in America. Now we'll know.

Team Deathmatch montage:
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/team-dea...-call-of/703936

-last stand is back 8|
-lag compensation doesn't appear to be in the game
-SVD back and with proper PSO-1 reticle (yay!)
-though hard to conclude from console gameplay with their built-in aimbots, there seems very little recoil, even on the MP5K
-MP5K is a 30-20 weapon (that's probably bad news for SMGs)
-3-burst weapons still in (seemingly an M16A2)
-possible shotgun ADS bonus

"Wager Match" vid:
http://www.gametrail...-call-of/703899

I have to say the wager mode actually really looks like a lot of fun.

It's nice to see new game modes being added. Wager Match reminds me of mutators for Unreal 04. Loads of different crazy gamemodes 8|
