"Easy 8" is the simplified way of saying M4A3E8 Sherman. In the US military jargon, letters are said as if they were words (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, etc.). The main reason for this is so same sounding letters are not misunderstood.

I didn't say only a Sherman for instances where a heavy is present, but a single Sherman can be deadly if left unchecked. It's not as likely as say a T-34, but it can and does happen. I've done it a couple times myself.

Not so sure that was in use during WWII, or at least some things were named using a different alphabet. If you remember from band of brothers, the different companies had different names according to letters, 'Baker' for 'B', 'Fox' for 'F' and 'Easy' for 'E'. There's a lot more, but I don't remember them.

Edit:

the American Military Alphebet from 1941 to 1956 are as follows:

Quote

Able
Baker
Charlie
Dog
Easy
Fox
George
How
Item
Jig
King
Love
Mike
Nan
Oboe
Peter
Queen
Roger
Sugar
Tare
Uncle
Victor
William
X-ray
Yoke
Zebra

The armour on the T-28 is like paper, it's going to take awhile before I can get the KV at this rate 8|.

Also Nuker, should I D/L teamspeak 3 or 2?

KV's is like a turtle on a icy road; takes one stel forward, goes two steps backwards.
Luckily i rushed my way through KV and KV3 when 5x exp/money was on. 8|
T-28 is suprisingly fast tank for a medium(?), even tho it is made of paper like you said.
Love is everything it's cracked up to be. That's why people are so cynical about it... It really is worth fighting for, risking everything for. And the trouble is, if you don't risk everything, you risk even more.

T-28 is this weak because he has its armor when it was first developed and constructed. With the Russian-Finnish war, Soviets realized it and increased its armor. Thats the problem which WoT have, it doesnt count various versions of tanks, like Pz IV Ausf. F and Pz. IV Ausf. H (this one has a armour plates on sides and turret). When there will be upgrades for armour, that will be really perfect.

Get TS 3.

The KV is not the "horrible piece of crap" people claim it is. For one, it truly is a heavy tank in how it behaves. It weighs twice as much as a Sherman, but to go along with that, it packs a lot of firepower. Mediums can outmaneuver the KV, but if a medium gets tracked in front of a KV, it's as good as dead. This is especially true if the KV in question has the 152mm. Slow to reload, but the blast radius and sheer damage potential mean that a KV packing that monster of a cannon (technically a KV-2), should not be ignored, and should be approached with a degree of caution. I never had to suffer through the KV, but I have used one and I will say that it takes getting used to. On it's own, it's sure to die, but support it with 2-3 other tanks, and the KV begins to shine. In a tier'd match, the KV is a sponge, but it can not shrug off everything, as its armour is thin(ner) on the sides and rear. Its turret traverse is slow, and with the KV-2 turret, it's downright appalling. Use the KV wisely and it can be one of the better tanks for its tier.

There does need to be some account in the game that considers the fact the a certain tank did not always stay the way it was originally designed. The IS, for example received a flat sloped glacis later in the war, as opposed to the "complex" glacis it had at its inception. The KV received a sloped rear panel later in its service that replaced the curved piece it had. The Pz. IV Ausf. H was given add-on side and turret curtains in an attempt of adding more armour (the downside to this was that the rear armour was still very thin and it made the Pz. IV even slower. The Tiger receive minor updates throughout its service, A notable one being the sight holes for the gunner (reduced from 2 to 1). Perhaps the most updated tanks of all though, was the Sherman. The M4 in game has a cast hull, while Shermans later in the war had welded hulls (designated M4A3). Fortunately though, the largest improvements to the Sherman will be added to the game or are already in. Those being the Easy 8, and the Jumbo (and there is rumor of adding the Calliope). If and when the British are added to the mix, one can be sure the Firefly will make an appearance.

By the officially revealed full lists for USA, there will be 4 versions of Sherman (one being premium), and one with Sherman's chassis but different weapon (dontremember what). I dont know if Calliope will be present, but when I searched for the tanks which are in these full lists, there is Russian tank with rockets, Sturmtiger which fired rockets, so there is a great possibility for Calliope.

KV-2 is really nasty, when it has 152mm or even just 107mm, which is similarly deadly as 152mm, but with higher rate of fire. I have KV now, so believe me that when it is int he battle around its tier, its really hard to take it out. Really the big weakness is its slow speed and slow turret rotation.

The Sturmtiger fired 380mm rocket-propelled mortar shells (technically not a rocket). It was a naval weapon adapted for use on land. The problem though, is that the full German list has the Sturmtiger listed with the 88mm (Sturmtiger 88), which it never mounted. plus, it's being listed as a premium tank, which means no upgrades for the gun, suspension, radio, or motor.

The "tank" that uses the Sherman chassis is one of the tank destroyers. The M36 Jackson was supposed to use its own chassis, but because supply did not meet demand, a Sherman hull was mated to an M36 turret. The M7 Priest is based off the M4 chassis, and the M41 uses the Easy 8's chassis.

KV starts as proper shit and takes forever to grind, but then upgrades into God-tier tanks.

Later on it's got a very very nice sniper cannon, as well as the short 152 (my cannon of choice) which shoves a huge 900 damage HE marshmallow up your bum. I always think of it as rather hilarious, because I constantly get written off and in the end, I win. KV, believe or not, outperforms my IS stat-wise, because IS is mentally marked as dangerous by all the enemies, while the KV isn't. (Also, the IS is a medium heavy, while the KV is a proper heavy. The slow speed probably save my life more often than not because it prevents me from rushing off to my death).

In low-tier battles, I win, because few things can penetrate me and I one-shot everything. I the current record-holder for me is my KV, 8 kills I think. The 152 is also really really accurate for how shit the values say they are (I think there's some hidden values that boost it's accuracy, because I frequently snipe in the thing and success)

In high-tier battles, I win, because the KV's repair fees are so low and the burst damage is so high that me doing 10% damage to a KT or IS-3 and then dieing nets me a profit. Often times I find myself able to get in hilariously high-end kills. I've killed at least 5 IS-4s throughout my KV's lifetime.

It's also pretty fast later on, if I didn't have spall liner, I could go 37 kph. Now my top speed is 34 kph.

As with all heavies, it sucks to fight in a field with arty.

Sturmtiger as arty is only different variant of this tank, like GW Panther or Tiger. Because they havent build them doesnt means there were no plans for this. I also found some blueprints of Sturmpanther, simply Panther with its standart turret, only with kind-of Sturmtiger's mortar.

No, that other tank I mean is T31 I suppose, designated as "Demolition Tank" and its medium.

But did you guys noticed that Soviets have as premium "SG-122", which is "Sturmgeschutz 122", in other words German captured SU-122. This means that it is captured captured SU-122 or what? 8|

Now I realited, Priest was based on M3 Lee/Grant's chassis, not Shermans.

And about Sherman, this is what I have found which will be in WoT with his chassis:

M4A1
M4A2E4
M4A3E2
M4A3E8
M36 Jackson/Slugger
T31 demolition tank
Posted Image

Quite fearful, isnt it?

And if you say that Firefly was confirmed (which was mostly made from M4A4), it ends on 7 tanks on chassis of M4 Sherman. And if Calliope will be there too, 8. Huu, even Soviets dont overdo it like Americans 8| But for the record, T-34 has 6 variants. T-34, T-34M (premium), T-34-85, Su-85, SU-100 and SU-122 (= SU-85 with 122m gun). When we will also count premium SG-122, 7. Hmm... thats the same number as Sherman, but half of T-34 are tanks and half tds, Sherman has most of them a tanks.

I thought that, in some way. But I thought Wolverine had modified Sherman chassis, previously in the past I though M36 had Peshing's, but that later proved wrong... I guess.

Grinding with the SU-85B to get the SU-85 is really difficult when I get matched against tanks tier 7 over and get stuck with dumb teammates. Grinding with the T-28 is annoying aswell as there is no other way to get to the Soviet heavies other than through it.

I also seem to notice I'm not getting that much xp anymore, even when I win and I have a prem account currently.

The trick is to do damage (or try to at least) to anything on the other team. This works especially well if you manage to do a lot of damage to tanks several tiers above you (or manage to kill said target). You also get a lot of credits if you've done a lot of damage.

Exactly. Its how much damage you can cause what matters, thats why you can destroy 7 damaged tanks with one shot when they had low hp and gain less exps and credits then alone destroy 2-3 tanks.

Now i have a question for you. Can you say me how many exps costs a Tiger I from VK3001(H)? Becaue I found really strange thing when I bought it. Its cost was 47 145, I had around 45 500. I purchased it with the idea I will spend 1500 free exps. And somehow my VK3001(H) had around 8000 exps after it, without spending any free exp... I cant get it.

Downloaded WoT a few days ago. Currently grinding with the A-20, and it's taking a while since I'm frequently matched against tanks way above my tier (often the top enemy tank is around tier 8 or 9). Anyone know how much gold will cost when the game is released? If I had to pay too much to obtain the free experience from obsolete elite tanks and get extra credits I'd go mad...

No, you said it was decent. I said it was cheap, hilariously overpowered and awesome; at least once you get there. 900 damage cannon = lulz abound.

@Rich19
Try it out a bit to figure out what direction you want to go but don't go bother doing any serious grinding.
Get to the T-34 and just stick to playing that till launch, fun guaranteed.
