It's looking very good, gameplay is what I'm after though, MP gameplay.

In CoD and CS there were various inscriptions in Arabic which are just like Easter eggs for us, there are even jokes sometimes (For example de_dust2 has an inscription which means "CS Source sucks")

It never was and never will be.
Call of Duty is probably one of the least innovative game series as a whole.

Same for being blown backwards with explosions. The only reason nobody really questions it and complains about the lack of these features as much as they would is because we're all used to such simple physics in FPS games. You're witnessing the evolution of Video Games with BF3, EA and Dice are simply taking steps that most other developers have been too lazy to take, and making them awesome with how much more powerful our gaming machines have become over the last few years. Hopefully these kinds of features become standard requirements for any decent, realistic fps in the near future.

Just sayin'. It was pretty damn ahead of its time, I think I'll go replay it actually. Such a good game.

On the other hand, we all should innovation, but the FPS has very limited options. MW set the bar pretty high when it came out. After that its pretty unfair to expect a similar change in every game. That's why its a classic in my book when its successors are not. They are merely carrying the MW flag. It might be sometime before we see a major change in FPSs. I thought motion control would at least bring something awesome, but its no good compared to mouse and a kb. All we can expect is a more polished game with existing features rather than new ones when every company is spamming new titles every year. Sadly it is not the case with some titles. So my expectation is more about polish rather than innovation. So far, I am very impressed with what i've seen of BF3

I really don't see the point of full-body awareness though. I really couldn't give a damn about it if I tried .

To me, full body awareness and good environmental interaction is far more immersive than a good reload.

CoD4 set the standard for Multiplayer shooter. Basically every MP shooter since CoD4 used the exact same system. I agree that they didn't do anything new in CoD5-7, but CoD4 contributed a lot to MP-FPS-gaming.
Although I have no Idea why every damn game developer thinks this system is the best... I'd really like to see some Counterstrike-like MP again.
And sadly none of the innovative games have really made an impact either.
What game in the last 5-10 years really changed FPS-MP gaming?

I am sitting in a car.
I can't see my body on the seat.
I AM A GHOST!
Scariest video-game moment ever!

Anyway, that really ruined the immersion for me.

CoD doesnt have anything innovative or original in its entire series (unless you count invincible characters and the worlds most retarded customization features)...75% of their shit is based off of movies and TV series ffs.
And the destructible enviroments existed long ago in BF2. Its just DICE showing off while everyone else forgot about Crysis.
Innovations in mods basically are the highest seller at this point (from CS to Killing Floor and Red Orchestra). Its only a matter of which company is going to capitalize the most out of indie developed mods (for example Valve, DICE, IW etc...)
