Heh, yeah, I've heard the demo was awesome. And of course our good but unstable internet decided to go fuckall this week which leaves only our shitty but stable internet.
Downloaded all day, still only half way.

To start with, I like it. I do like it. But it's just a "mashy R2 gore fest" with a decent Jump Pack mechanic thrown in. I like the idea of the execution mechanic to gain life, but that just leaves me spamming "F" & "E" all the time and making me think that Captain Titus is in the sodding Matrix. It just makes me want to run up the walls in power armour

The weapons feel good to use, the Stalker Pattern Bolter in particular is hugely satisfying to use to explode ork heads from quite some distance. I think that I would've preferred an option to switch my stance manually from CC to Ranged though, so as to activate the combo moves rather than "R2", "R2R2", "R2R2R2", "R2R2R2R2F".
Overall, without having been able to try the MP, this isn't going to have huge replayability and I feel that I am perhaps I am missing the grim darkness that a 40K game of this magnitude and stature should have. It's visceral, fast paced and fun, but I doubt it's going catch it's fan base the way it could have done with a touch more thought.

I play through it in hard mode, and found it far more interesting than rushing in and mashing R2. Although it is not extremely tactical but at least jumping in a massive hoard of greenskins will kill you pretty fast. On the topic of it being not grim and dark, I don't think one can judge it from the demo. Most likely they have released one of the most action intensive missions and there isn't much of a storyline shown here, maybe in the full game it will be far darker and grimmer than the glorious slaughter fest of xenos.

We might as well admit it. This is what 40k is always portrayed as. 90% of the books portray it this way.
Of course, there's alot more to it than that.

My only gripe is that voice acting is too damn boring. I was expecting some tough voices, along the lines of the original DOW1 RTS. Apart from that this game looks great. Should try the PC demo to see the diff.
oh and I adore the fury mode and executions

I'm pretty much in agreement with everything you said, though.

Playing just with melee is a hell of a lot easier than shooting your way through, particularly in the last part of the first mission where its wave after wave. You might as well just go in a R2 R2 R2 F combo which ruins everything around you, do that a few times, get the fury/rage/yellow thing out and repeat.
That said its still a lot of fun, I hope you can get different melee combos as you progress.

Thats what space marines are though, superhuman killing machines. I think the gameplay looks a tad repetitive and a bit mindless, but it also looks very fun. If the game is backed up with a deep interesting story and gameplay variations more the better, but I'll probably still buy it because it just looks like damn good fun.

Also, they should add more variations to the ork dialog, currently it's just: SPESS MAHREENS! SPESS MAHREENS! SPESS MAHREENS! SPESS MAHREENS! SPESS MAHREENS! SPESS MAHREENS! SPESS MAHREENS! SPESS MAHREENS! SPESS MAHREENS! SPESS MAHREENS! SPESS MAHREENS! SPESS MAHREENS!

YES!

That and some other orky lines, Currently it gets repetive after 5 minutes of the same 4 lines being repeated over and over (3 of them including the word "Space Marines").

Guess they missed out on the fundamental element that the bigger an Ork gets, the darker in colour he gets as well. So, not only are Orkz being seen as "free health", they're also being portrayed poorly and under false nomenclature.....
