just a quick request: PVP needs to be turned off. yesterday i was playing with nature and lost all of my hard-earned items (including diamond, gold and loads of iron) due to a simple accident where he accidentally hit me with his axe while i had only half a heart.
to avoid such situations in the future i'd like to see the PVP turned off.
also, whatever happened to the plans for creeper-protection? seriously, there is nothing fun about dying/having your stuff destroyed OUT OF NOWHERE.

That's not how creeper protection works.
What it does is make it so that when a creeper detonates, it doesn't destroy the blocks around it.
It will still damage and kill players/mobs.

well it doesn't really matter really, as long as the creepers don't destroy stuff and other players can't kill each other it'd be great.

Creepers are part of the game. If one manages to kill your stuff, you haven't done enough about the security of your whatever it was it killed. Use Fences to block off areas and put down torches to prevent them from spawning.

well since me and nature usuallly team up to construct stuff i'd be good to get rid of this kind of accidents.
really, it's not such a big effort to change a minor (but annoying) thing like this.

Slye, the problem is definitely on your end. If Bukkit did cause any problem, there'd be a swarm of complaints on their forums. And none of us would be able to connect to the server either.
Delete your .minecraft folder after backing up your saves to redownload the game, that might fix it.

For the past few days I'm having troubles connecting to the server, and when I connect, I most of the times have massive lag. Is it something with the server, or is Minecraft.net overloaded again?

I CAN connect to the server, it's just unplayable, I literally have to wait a min for the chest window to pop up after right clicking on a chest, mobs are invisible, chunks don't load, ect.
AND it's only on the FS server I get it, the server that's in Australia (which doesn't have bukkit) doesn't give me any problems.
Also;
I already did delete minecraft and reinstall it to try and fix the problem.

So you're basing your idea that bukkit is broken because you've tried a single server?
I play on 4 different servers which all use bukkit (Frenchie Fresh, MCSL, some unnamed server ran by a friend and my own little server), never got any problems except for when I had a bad connexion...
Also, I didn't find any person complaining about bukkit causing these problems on their forums, however there are some people complaining about it on the official forums (both for vanilla and bukkit)
I'm not saying that we should keep bukkit, (since you can see I've actually asked if there was a way to remove it), all I'm saying that it's unlickely that it's causing the problem.
Side note : I'm having some trouble connecting to the server, just like NatureOrb, looks like something is broken with the server :|

Let me put it this way, Bukkit is not coming off, as I've paid for 3 months of hosting.

This is weird, most of the topics I've found about the "java.net.sockettimeoutexception: read timed out" error say that it's an error caused by port forwarding on the host machine...

Well, I only knot the address of 2 servers.
Just like in TF2, I'm not a server hopper.
I find 1 or 2 servers I like and stick with them.
For testing purposes, can you post say 1 or 2 adulteresses for servers with bukit.
