I don't really see what could justify such a price tag. I've used a free provider to host a forum that was much more active than this one, years ago, and it never failed me.
It would be a normal price if there was a lot of traffic, especially involving mod downloads, but honestly I don't think it's the case (at least not anymore) D:

Granted, a lot of space is wasted with dead mods' files.

Oh, I thought it'd have to be bandwidth because there isn't really a need for a large storage on a forum, especially whne the attachments are limited to 1MB

Didn't think any mod was still hosted on here, especially since the wiki is down.
