Care to explain why ?

Why would I bother explaining it when you're obviously very set on the idea that CoH is shit, even though you like a game that is basically the same as it, but with different unit models and names?

I've seen more retarded arguments than this of course but still what you just said deserves its own place among top retarded stuff list :P
Well, All FPS games basically same aswell, but only a dozen or so of them good and rest is shit. RTS games same aswell, you click to unit or press to hotkey button or fuckever you wish and they move somewhere or attack something. What differs them is the models, animations and sounds... And DOW2 suits to my tastes a lot better than same old WW2 crap.

It's a strategy game, you don't really remember it for the campaign, you remember it for the multiplayer.

Not exactly, it has the best parts of the gameplay gone as well.

Like, you know, base building. 8|

However, the stuff General mentioned he did like, particularly the whole Victory Point thing, is directly lifted from COH.

Would you say that CoH is shit just because it's missing the base building though?

BTW, the only CoH game I bothered to play in multiplayer was CoH Online, and that one did have base building in it D:

I'm talking about DOW2, you said it's exactly the same as COH, where in fact it is very different in several marked differences.

Yes, victory points works so good on DOW2 and suits to the gameplay style a lot better. Focusing on different parts of the map and trying to manage units instead of moving your unit spams to destroy enemy base is more interesting.

Ah well, that explains a lot, I was confused when I read it as "CoH doesn't have base building" :tard:

I don't think you quite understand how COH multiplayer (or gameplay in general) actually works. :|

Yes, you build a base. But very rarely will you ever assault it. There really isn't unit spam either, DOW/DOW2 both have a higher pop cap. COH is far more strategic and tactical for several reasons that you really only start to see when you spend a lot of time in it.

But still, I've certain dislike on WW2 themed games, perhaps playing lots of COD and Medal of Honor on PS1 bored me to death :P Instead of doing the same shit with improved graphics, if they done modern day story with COH2, it would be cool.

I dislike most WW2 games as well, but the gameplay of COH is good enough that you can just avoid the setting and focus on the game.

Base building doesn't have to be in the game for it to be a good RTS, just look at Z :D .

It wouldn't really, just like any other topic outside LPTPW, It is likely to be posted in once or twice, with everyone realizing that everyone else is clinging to their own opinion, and it'll fall into in the "read posts abyss", 'til someone necroes it 2 years after to post about an update/mod/something else concerning the game D:!
