Hey Tempest Rising's demo is out on steam, you got until 28th Aug to play it. I say it's pretty good, I didn't need any training and felt right at home almost immediately. There's a couple of gripes here and there (pathfinding, the stance bar, not enough tooltips), but it's good.

The pathfinding issues I encountered were related to harvesters (yes a classic...) and units can't deciding which side of a rock to pass through
