Take the wasting ammo complaint and killing 1 line for guys complaint. SOLVED. How? Because those bullets were 40mms, so all the infantry are dead!!!! :dope:

That's the equivelent of shooting infantary with a bradley cannon fitted with non high explosive shells, i mean, a 50 cal sniper rifle leaves an exit wound of a basketball and can literally seperate your lower body (waist and below) from your torso, don't you think that's enough? Plus, at the rate of fire it's firing at, like 5+ of those 40mm 'bullets' will be entering every soldier, aka wasted ammo. Seriously, metal storm is great anti-missile defense (as long as it's nto TOO big of a missile, but that's hwere high powered lasers come in), but nothing else, i mean, we have SAMs that kill airplanes pretty damn good, and there are no 'countermeasueres' that work as well as the ones for af gen in ShW (or even any USA countermeasures), or lasers to shoot down incoming missiles (thhey're trying to make ones into large civiliian aircraft to thwart the threat of terrorists lanching stinger like missiles at aircraft near takeoff). and a metal storm can't fit in an airplane, and how would you reload it in the airplane?.

40mm grenades... You need not nearly as many but you can take down the force in seconds.

At such a high rate of fire, all the 40mm nades will be gone in a couple of seconds, just take the Mk19 mod.3, it's more than good enough as a AGL system.

Except for the fact that the rate of fire of metal storm could allow a grenade placed in each point in a force to remove it in under two seconds. The GMG has to manually aimed.

Oh, and MetalStorm can be mounted on aircraft.

Oh really? Tell me, how would they reload a metal storm on a fighter jet?

when they return to base. Before that, they can easily use it to eliminate something much like a ranged carpet bombing.

well i wouldnt say a carpet bombing because of its rate of fire i would say an extreamly accurate multi bombing, in other words they would be shooting say X nuber of bombs on one target in less 10 seconds, its an unsobable bombing unless of corse you shoot down the plane, although i guess that could be put in the catagory carpet bombing. we would only need to make bullet small high explosives, i think we already have those though not sure if there like small bombs though.

Metal Storm guns could also be tail-mounted as an anti-ballistics point defense.

It could be tail mounted on some larger aircraft, but i doubt putting a couple of barrels with metal storm on a fighter aircraft would be good, cuz then you need an aircraft basically designed around metal storm to accomidate it.

Why the hell would China invade?
They give us cheap food and clothes, we give them premium leaded Uranium :locky:

And anyway, we are too isolated to be invaded.

No, they would go around clockwise to invade the east side. Nobody would want to invade Darwin. They will come in from east Australia where 70% of the population is.

Although it would look awesomely cool, it also would be one of the most redundant weapons i've ever seen, I mean, to have 100 bullets you need a TON of barrels, or one super long barrel (like longer than a tank gun), and to reload you have to load them in sorta manually.
