You know here in Scandinavia it's socially accepted to get totally wasted during the weekend. :)

I enjoy beer, but not for the purpose of getting drunk. I like the taste of good beer.

i think this topic would meake more sense to me if i knew the ages and locations of people, I know 15yrs old (who are party whores) in the UK dont like some alcohol, 5 years ago i was liek that but now i'll try anything before deciding to drink it or not.

Im n ot addicted to booze but i do enjoy it. I do enjoy tryign uncommon beers such as anythign random we can hunt down in Tesco. favourite so far is Leffe Blonde

How about checking people's profiles for such info?

I don't agree with that personally. It shouldn't be socially accepted so much. Yet a girl spending time behind a computer is not socially accepted. Sometimes the world is odd..

I don't becuase I'm not older enough to partake of spirits or liqour legally. If and when I do, it'll just be wine, and maybe a wine cooler every once in a blue moon.

A glass of wine a day is actually healthy, and when your stomach is upset, it helps to calm it down.

Remember, everything in moderation.

Major Nuker

I take it only one day at the weekend for my part-time job as a cameraman at a local night club. It helps me relax and gives me that extra layer of skin necessary to deal with the general public.

I have never in my life been so drunk that I did not know where I was, what I was doing, or had trouble standing up.

Wisely spoken. (no irony)

When I've eaten too fast, my granny often gave me a liqueur in these small glasses. (dunno the english word. in germany it is called "kurzer" = shortie :) ) That always helped killing the pain in my stomach. As Nuker said: everything in moderation. (heck, even marijuana is used as painkillers by doctors)

OK the yes is losing in this poll, prehaps we should have asked how many people could legally drink? it may skew the results more towards the yes

I'm a lonely teenager, so yes I do open up a can once in a while at home. But mostly I'm a caffeine addict so I find myself with a can of coke or a cup of joe rather than one of a twenty-four.

@ Dauth
And that's a problem why? Just because I'm allowed to do something, doesn't mean I do it.

Well, this is a pretty immature board, so no wonder there's alot of no-votes.

Its interesting how that alcohol considered as the sign of maturity * sarcasm *

@ Cycerin
Even people underage can drink.. their parents and such are bound to have alcohol if they drink themselves.

If you ask me personally.. saying no to alcohol shows a sign of maturity moreso than saying yes.

I must be pretty mature then since I say no to everyone who asks me to take a drink.

anyways i do drink but very rarely since at most parties i go to i still have a long way to go back or i have to drive myself and drinking and driving is defently something you should avoid even if it's just one glass.
