And @ codecat... I'm sure its not just me who thinks the deepend should not have been closed.
Either someone else will back me up.
or they are just sucking up to you because your an admin.
I know you banned him.. But ellezark wants to speak from beyond the grave.
Elezzzark says:
To Be Honest, Philosophy`s Corner is already alternatived of Deep End without Politics---
Elezzzark says:
BUT religions and socials? that was very bad idea, it must be locked again or they fail.
Elezzzark says:
enough, done
I agree with the point he's making also.

i found the deep end to be a great place to disscuss things other then games, mods, and random youtube clips.
sure there where some bad apples (aka kacen ele exct...) but that shouldnt be enough to close down fourms.
and maybe your right, maybe winning about it and saying "this isnt fair!" wont bring back the deep end but there is no way im letting the deep end go without giving my two cents.

92% of people play as USA or China. If you are part of the 8% that plays as the GLA then put this in your signature.
you cant kill what you cant see :p

What was the point of the Deep End? All we did was bicker over topics with the same meaning as the last. It was really a waste of time, E-studios is supposed to be about modding anyways not how much GWB and Cristianity suck.

In addition, the DE was an excellent learning experience for many of the members, whether they think so or not. Though perhaps not vastly, the majority of us have improved in our arguments and world-knowledge. A lot of the forumites have probably been affected by some of the stuff said, and I should assume for better. It always helps to raise international awareness.
It is a dire shame to see it go.

You are right there, it could be more. But I dont know if Politics should be part of it.

The Deep End wasn't just about politics though. It was a lot more than that.
I liked the Deep End even though I didn't post there all too much. I liked going in and reading what people had to say. Plus, it was the second most popular forum to post in, if not the most popular.
I agree with Spiderspag.

The Deep End forum was apart from ShW itself my main point of interest here at E-Studio's, and even I will continue mapping for itand posting in the Tester forums, I very much doubt I will be spending much of my time elsewhere.

This sick sig was made by da man, Cattman2236. Yeeh boii!

Check da myspace @ Spiderspag's Myspace
You killed my entire family... and I don't like that sort of thing...

I feel the same as Spag, Smooder, and Rump.
heck, I might as well not come here any more except for the occasional release celeb.
Please, bring back the deep end. It was the only place on the internet where it was shallow enough so that I didn't have to stop and think for 15 minutes every time before I posted(though I occasionally did), but you could freely talk about politics and all the contreversial stuff that I love.
Sure I'll still hang about in the Phylospher's corner a bit, but it will never be the same.

I don't like ellezark, lets ban him.
I dont agree with your oppinion, I'll ban you.
Your not even telling half of the story there and only the parts that make us look bad and you and the others the victims.
Smooder, on 23 Apr 2007, 22:33, said:
I dont agree with you "consider this a warning"- for not having my oppinion
And that my friend is exactly why the Deep end should be gone i didn't post there often (like 3 times maybe ?) becouse even the admins and staff on this board were sometimes not capable of remaining neutral in policical disscussions.
That's also why i never posted there becouse i knew i would screwup somewhere and get people to hate me for my oppinion and maybe even lock a topic becouse i get pissed off at what others might be saying about my country or the one of someone else.
If even our modies and admins couldn't run it 100% fairly gives me reason enough to think were better off without it.

Yes, the neutrality of staffis is a problem, I agree with that one. I have to say that I´m immensly impressed that POTP (who was the most active of the "higher council") never really overreacted to the bullshit presented by us. But there are many members and staff ´round here that are really not interested in politics at all. Give the DE authority to one of them, I´ve seen this working in quite many other forums.

I'm not sucking up, I haven't spoken to Code in ages and couldn't care less if he was an Admin. I support the Admin/Staff's decision for the reasons they stated.
E-Studios always has been and probably always will be a gaming and modding forum. Politics was just as they said, an extra. If you don't like it, stop bitching and go somewhere else.
My 2 cents on this subject.
