well you never wrote me on msn right? so...
you can still contact me
It's simply the case that I need a way to send them you know
however, the models are still in the mod, if it ever gonna be released you'll be able to play with them
but right now I have to say those models took me too much time to simply disappear...

I would just want to inform everyone that Unleashed is not dead. There was simply not enough progress going on and IPS wanted to see his models ingame.
However, progress has started picking up again and hopefully we can get this mod back on it's feet.
Whether these models will STILL be available to the public is under debate.

I'm a fan of both versions, as the top piece is an advancement of your previous work, and the second is more "personal", as it focuses on the insectoid creature. Perhaps you could develop them both eventually. I really like the purple reflection cast by the creature on the green crystal.
If I can say something about the creature I'd like to: It seems that the colour of the creature was influenced by the Zerg from StarCraft (particularly the Hydralisk), which isn't a bad thing. The way the thorax connects to the abdomen looks like that of a wasp's because of the relatively thin body to a large abdomen.
Very well done IPS. As always, I look forward to much more from you.

thanks!
well, I decided that finishing a picture that you don't 100% like is not really satisfying.
so, I started all over again.

The rough sketch holds a lot of promise, and the perspective is a welcome difference to the other two works you showed in earlier posts. The angle is down on the creature, as if positioned above, and though the sketch is still in its "rough" stages, there is still some detail to be gleaned from it. I noticed the faint hint at wings, particularly in the upper left of the sketch. They look kind of how I expected, something like that of a set belonging to a Dragonfly. I do like that you pay special attention to where the crystal casts its light, and shade it so that in areas that the crystal isn't shining directly on, there is still light being thrown in that direction, however indirect in nature.

I hope I can verify the promising look^^
progress:

I'm not really happy with the color I've picked though, I'll probably change it later.

With the focus of your sketch being brown, a colour, which, if accompanied looks fine, just isn't doing your subject a whole lot of justice. Granted, this is a work in progress, so there is time and room to improve upon the sketch.

The one you started later is far better dude, perspective is perfect so aswell as the anatomy of the insect, but I recommend you to do it green or in the colour you will do the environment, if you can give it right camouflage , this piece will kick ass
and I hope you are working on it at high-resolution, so I can steal it and do it my wallpaper when its done

Nice work indeed IPS, I do like the second one a lot more than the first one, there's more warmth for me in the second one (and while I should not be looking to an insect for warmth
) and it just makes the image a hell of a lot nicer for me. Really well done, and looking forward to seeing the final outcome.

A different colour and a different angle. i thought you got it right also, just not the tone for the creature as it lacked a bit of depth. This time however, you've nailed it. What's more is, you've added more than just colour to your subject, but also detail. The black speckles on the crest and forelegs of your creature really make it stand out. Well done IPS.

Ah now it indeed has that feeling of depth that it previously lacked! Nice job.

My apologies for opening on a somewhat rude note, but:
Sorry, but I'm gonna have to ask you to remove that pic, at least for now. ZHU is becoming active again (probably), and this unit is still slated to go in and feature in a (hopefully near-)future update. If you don't want to, all right, in the end it's still your model, but personally I'd rather you keep it hidden from the public for the time being.
And on a more positive note: Your 2D art is absolutely stunning. I'm a big fan of the epic clash on page 6, and this insect looks awesome as well. Somehow, I get the feeling it's a pretty intelligent life-form, or at least a member of a complex society.

The detail in your work is always what hits me first. The way you depict such intricate shades and colours is just amazing. If this is the "rough" version, I can only imagine what the final version might look like. The object the insect is holding is so finely detailed. You're able to make out each individual petal (if those are petals). Well done IPS!!
