Yeah I did, he needs to set the AI range higher so it moves in when I'm further away, It moves after i get so close though, and then flanks me with it's warp ability, and general speed.

It's basically a designer fault.

My new ship, the Anti-Aegis Cruiser:

Specifically designed to get around aegis, this ship is loaded with improved railguns and plasma launchers, but it needs to be protected by other ships.

ive always loved games were you could customize your own stuff. im so glad i found this topic :P

meh his ships are not as cool as spaceball one...... i got 10 mega beams on each side not counting the big guns lol
how many deflectors did his ships have? because mine only had 10 (which isnt much considering spaceball one has over 100 different peices lol)

I just made my first ship, it's not much and I don't know how to assign a target for the Aegis Deflectors :P .

What I do when I get an error is keep a copy of the bugged version and rebuilt the ship from the ground up, testing at different intervals to find out whats buggged at whats not.

One ship I made was bugged.It consisted of five main parts:Core,Frontal Batteries,Wings(2),and a rear defense section.

What I did was:

1)Build Core
2)Test Core
3)If Core Works, proceed, if Core doesn't work, build slightly differently and try again.
4)Build Wings
5)Test Wings
6)If Wings work, proceed, if the Wings don't work, build slightly differently and try again.
7)Build Frontal Batteries
8)Test Frontal Batteries
9)If Frontal Batteries work, proceed, if they don't work, build slightly differently and try again.
10)Build rear section
11)Test rear section
12)If the rear section works, proceed, if it doesn't work, build slightly differently and try again.
13)Done

So, basically just test it as you build it again, and keep the bugged one as a guide to work with.

As you can see, flanking is this things worst nightmare, but the front is quite powerful.

EDIT: I got no idea where this came from, but hey; It looks alright for a boredom-born fortress-thing.

I feel the same as Areze about ships, or in my case: Corvettes and Frigates. XD

Oh and, I have A LOT more ships than displayed in this post, somewhere near 35 already. These ships I made two days ago so they weren't very advanced like the ones I have now. I'm pretty good at building small things that are hard to hit while at the same time packing a minigun based surprise.
