Well unless I have been singled out for spamming then flood control is back. Can we have it taken off for those with over 500 posts again please or something like that?
For the samwe reasons in that thread

Matter of fact I got a flood control warning when I clicked the reply button in this thread.
Yes, flood control is back/still in place, and mesa no likey
Maybe the 500 post limit should only count for "regular" Members, since rapid or immediate promotion should count for something. If that's not possible, too bad.

Just use fast reply. Usually by the time you write your post in fast reply the minute is already up.

There for a good reason,
imagine a member who has more than 500/1000 goes crazy and spams every thread,
that would be anoying to clean up.

And you would never have to see that member again.
I think it's bloody irritating too, even though I can understand why you'd need a certain amount of posts to have it removed. I'd like a 500 threshold.

Code, I was pretty sure that you had the flood control lowered for some portion of some time, like down to 30 seconds or something. IDK when, but I am pretty sure that it was something like that at some point.
Maybe a decrease to 30 would be nice?

I really don't see the problem with waiting a minute... i mean its gonna take you at least a minute to go from posting, to reading at least one post and then typing out a reply to it... if it takes you less than a minute and you cant wait a few seconds then you spend too much time here...

It can get a pain in some circumstances, especially when using firefox, I tend to burst open 5 or 6 topics and then reply and flood control does get very irritating.

And I type REALLY fast. I can type a post, in quick reply, and by the time it's done, flood control is still there >=o

Which is why people with over 500 (or 1000) posts should be exempt. They've been around for a while, they can be trusted; if they can't, there's always the ban-hammer.

The fact that we did in the past got guro flooded by members with 500+ post also i dont think we can have different control for different post count, Have to check with codecat but i doubt the board software supports such a thing.

Think back to the days of Kacen here, and you people may change your point-of-view.

A little late but:
It keeps people from double-posting.

I don't like waiting a minute to post, could you at least lower it to 30 seconds please?

While it's annoying to have this on, its a failsafe option to stop double posting and people going on a spamming spree (at least a little). It's just regulations. Please keep those exchanges somewhere else.
