Is it just me or is the whole existing unit + rocket pack = new unit thing getting a bit old?

Well this unit seems more along the lines of existing unit + new weapons + rocket pack + modified special ability = new unit.

But I still believe that this is one of the most beautiful units EA have made in a long time |8

That's because they toke it from RA2's concept and EA can just edit the looks easy..
Still, Its a great AA unit... I wonder if it will get its legs back after proto-jump? |8

It proves they do dip into the Westwood RA2 archives. And before anyone gets any ideas, no they are 'ripping off' Westwood's ideas :sly:

AFAIK, once it jumps, its legs are blown clean off, never to be seen again :sly: It becomes a permanent stationary defense.

Since it fires its anti inf + anti tank weapons at the same time, in theory it'd absolutely annihilate any other light vehicles.

Just so you know the units in the video have a fixed HP.

AFAIK it's Anti Air + Armour but not bad against infantry I guess.

Well yes, but I'm basing that on light vehicles taking damage from anti inf + anti vehicle.

Well, I'm guessing they do like in previous C&C games?

Besides this is single player only so balance isn't very important.

Even if it is single player only, saying balance isnt important is kind of like saying size doesn't matter if you know what I mean. Just isn't true.

I said isn't very important. It won't exactly be requiring several balance fixes or anything.

When did it become a mortal sin to put such things on a freaking disc? I'm not paying for a download or a one-way code.

I dont mind electronic game copies. I was born in the 90s so I have no understanding of how you guys cant get past no hard copy for games. Hell, we had the CD player shortly after I graduated 5th grade and then the MP3 player during 7th. Maybe sooner.

I won't be buying this expack, which makes it the first C&C game that I will be giving a miss.

This comes from someone who has been following the series since its first release back in the "good old" days of MS DOS. My reasons are simple:

-No multiplayer component.
-It removes all of the features that Red Alert 3 introduced, like cooperative campaign play.

If you buy this half-baked product then you are sending a message loud and clear to EA that it is acceptible for them to produce similar rubbish in future.

I take it then that anything that has no multiplayer automatically qualifies as 'rubbish', no matter its other attributes? The vast majority of gamers are still single-player oriented, and while I don't remove your right to consider this a bad thing, quite honestly from a single-player's point of view it looks like a far more attractive option than something that adds another few multiplayer maps and unnecessary units and rebalances everything either unnoticeably or to the extent of breaking my strategies.

I'll consider this a mission pack rather than a full expansion pack. I may get it when it gets cheaper.

70% of the C&C Community plays Single Player, it's been stated that a MP pack will be released later, I doubt it's 'Half-Baked' the Yuriko Campaign looks very nice if you saw the recent trailers. I agree that removing Multiplayer for Uprising was not the wisest move but it's not much of a big deal.

So have I but do you expect EA to go back and create games like that? (I wouldn't mind but it's not going happen)
