Another few favorites of mine:
The Stuka. Integral part of the Blitzkrieg. No particular reason why I like them, other than it was an awesome dive bomber.

Not the prettiest airplane ever, but it earned the nick-name "Flying tank". This thing could take a bullet to the engine block and still fly. Now that's bad@$$.

Must you do this all the time.
If i posted a pick of a MG-42 up, you`ll probably serach google for the facts then post them up, please STOP it, It`s not a technical weapon thread. I beleive Nuker has already said something about this.
Also your love for guns worries me.

A heavy cruiser that took the brunt of both Bikini Atoll bombs and STILL kept afloat is well made in my book!
Prinz Eugen FTW!

AllStar, if you don't stop posting information that detracts from someone's post of THEIR favorite, I will report you (I have done it before). I'm not threatening you, I am promising you.
My favorite naval vessel:
The venerable Tirpitz. Not even underwater explosives could sink this vessel (by themselves). Again, not an Allied vessel, but it was a tough nut to crack. For that reason, it has earned a place in my book.

And don't doubt the Swordfish. It was actually a reasonably good torpedo carrier despite its outdated design and looks. It might look fragile, but due to its cloth protection, areas hit by light or medium flak would simply break, and not shatter and spread the cracks like most metal skinned monoplanes or bibplanes. Strangely enough, a few AA gunners found that Swordfish were hard to hit.
