go to render settings, go to quality and put it on something like production, for increasing the ambient occlusion rays I only know how when baking, but you are just rendering them... Im not sure how to change that, go and have a look around I guess, somewhere in the render settings, after you put the renderer on mental ray

Give it an insectoid walker base.
Very nicely done Azzkikr. Perhaps the chasis/body is a little too soft (rounded) but the detail and concept for the weapons is/are awesome

Looking solid. Needs more detail to match the turret but I think you're getting there. Things like hydraulic cylinders/pistons would look nice IMO.

One piece of c&c though (I can't let you think it's perfect
) I think now that you've done just a good job on the legs, you need to make the torso more detailed. I know you can add stuff in with the skin, but the turret does seem bland in comparison now.

@pirate, actually this is modelled in 3dsmax, not in maya though...forgot to mention
