Crates? Are they like the ones in C&C? If so...

...they always explode when I move units on them :)

I got "cheat's lament" pretty earlyer when download the patch. I got also "Vita Saw" for medic.
Check my backpack.

About new concept, it was't pretty so bad after all. But, the prices are pretty ridiculous. :)

There also I found new wrench for engineer in GCF files . I don't know what is, but it was pretty bad ass. :D

Hmm. I like some of things in the update, but....paying for items?!? Really? Since when did TF2 become an MMORPG? I know it's an FPS, but still...paying to use certain features or have certain in game abilities is just.....ridiculous. I think I'll stick to getting items the old-fashioned way. Idling. :)

Here is FAQ about Manco. shop. Link: http://www.teamfortr...mannconomy/FAQ/

Most items are new Polycount items, misc item(Paints, tag, mini-game item call duel, and some key item) and bunch more.

Some prices are cheap or expensive.

This + Facepalm. Honestly, I liked it when I randomly got items, now I have to pay cash for the new ones? Wow...

Some of the item packs cost much more than the actual game itself.

You don't have to pay to get new items, but you may if you want to.

That's EXACTLY what I thought. I'm glad that you can still find these the old fashioned way though.

Also, just a warning, the new boxing gloves for the heavy suck something fierce. Honestly, 50% less damage and -6 health per second for a 30% speed boost? Cons outweigh the Pros by a landslide. Very, very useless in-game.

All the polycount pack items can be made

http://www.tf2items..../blueprints.php

As far as I know you can find all the items, buying is just a shortcut to getting just the item you want... but the prices are CRAZY

I'm pretty sure this'll end up being some kind of joke by Valve.
With their particular notion of time, they must've thought it was April 1st instead of October 1st :)

Y'all might already know about this, but it looks to me like there's going to be some sort of duelling mini game. There's a few interesting items at the bottom of this page.

EDIT - Oh, so THAT'S what you were all talking about. Never mind...

If anyone is wondering about why buying items is in the game, check out this post, i feel it gives a good reason for a Tf2 items store.

I'm not so fussed if people want to buy hats. I do however have a problem with the new item sets which provide huge bonuses when you wear them all. They all require hats and all the correct weapons, so you essentially have to buy the set to gain the bonus.

Also, the prices are ridiculous.

I don't see the need to get the whole set for my Pyro, I crafted the new flamethrower found it match my playstyle perfectly.

Hmm, good they got the trading, and fixed some achievements, but I agree that paying for your guns is a bad idea 8|

Meh as long as it's optional I can't see it being too bad. Though the prices are pretty high.

Alright, what the fuck Valve? Getting the whole Sniper pack makes you immune to headshots? Getting the whole Spy pack reduces decloaking sound? A Pyro hammer that does +25% damage and gives you +75 health on hit? Some of those will get nerfed real soon, no doubt.

I felt that the whole item system was getting rather out of hand the moment they began adding community items. They seem to be added with very little regard to game balance.

The hammer can be dropped and crafter so it's not that much of an issue...
