Alright, so you do AMAZING with your play style right? No ACOG. Well, for me? I do amazing when I use the stuff you guys are saying is so awful, its all who's behind the gun really. Not to toot my own horn, but I believe Chyros could do the same, he wasn't terribad at BC2 in the shooting department. Despite only having gotten the game a few hours ago.
Let me condense my point about ACOGs and weapons/loadouts that I say "fail": it's not impossible to get kills with stuff like that, at times you will do amazing, surely... but if you take stuff that doesn't have disadvantages and which is considered "competitive", you will do amazing every time instead of once every week, so to speak. If you do well with an ACOG, I promise you you will do better on average if you practice with a RDS, and with yet more training you'll find iron sights give you yet better results. You don't necessarily only get good games with competitive loadouts, but you'll do better on average, and you might even do better at peak performance
.
Also, "high idling" means the weapon sways a lot when aiming down the sights. In the case of an CoD 4 ACOG, up to four degrees at a relative speed of 1,5 units (by comparison, sniper rifles idle four degrees at 2,0 speed - four degrees is basically base hip spread of an LMG).
