Also, ME3's audio team has been confirmed, and they've linked to a bit of the new music. Quite inspiring, really.
(Also, never realised the media tag could run mp3s too, nifty

It's simply another piece of software that I don't want to have to use to run my games. Steam is my primary platform for a reason, because it is the best of the services out there. Origin will never replicate that, and I feel that the issue of launching Origin etc has been partly to blame for me not getting as involved with BF3/FIFA12 (yes hate me now for FIFA) as I would like to. Furthermore, if EA insist on creating another system like BattleLog for ME3, I swear to God I will not even attempt to bother to try it.

They're both bad, but there are at least some reasons to use Steam.
If you completely remove Origin from BF3 (and ME3, now) and make it an optional install there would be just about zero reason to install it.

I don't think I'd be paying for any EA games till they fix this.

Cut EA some slack for at least trying to provide some competition to the monopoly that Valve holds right now in the sense of digital redistribution of games. Perhaps the consumer might actually profit from this.
Besides, you don't /need/ to run both programs simultaneously anyway (Unless you of course want to run multiple games on multiple monitors and play them at the same time)
Either way, I'm getting Mass Effect 3, and Origin as well.

I did the exact same thing you mentioned with Origin for Bad Company 2. And backup is just a matter of copying a folder.
Fail much?

I will definitely be getting this, especially if A) legion is present, B) more than half of the game is non-recruitment/loyalty sidequests, C) engineers get a buff, or D) there is more exploration.

When I downloaded BD3, I did a backup thing also by copying the download folder, but it is no where near as good as the Steam. It might improve in the future, but today, Steam is way ahead on Origin, and its sad when I have to play a great game like ME3 on Origin.
I am ready to compromise on all of this if they still directed me to the Indian Origin store instead of the South African one!!!. I googled the problem and I saw some people in South America also being redirected to the South African store

Hopefully they'll also start having sales and provide some more serious competition for Steam

Sorry, there are already competing services to Steam and they are all miles ahead of Origin. Origin has so many outstanding issues with the whole thing, from its delivery methods to the licensing.

Looks rather intense tbh. For a second there I thought we were going to be shown a Geth class too, but sadly not, the Geth got owned by an infiltrator

Videos showing off the interactive story, customisation options, space battles and some actually gameplay footage. I just wish that there will be some sort of playable space battle, but I doubt it will be.
