Also, just to be clear, Wanderer just told me Bowling confirmed you can still get the DLC if you don't have CoD Elite. Of course it wouldn't really make sense for them to make you unable to buy their products, but in any case it should fortify that Elite is more of a standalone thing and not interferent with the actual game in any way.

"Everyone who has #MW3 gets the
same access to weapons, perks, attachments, etc. ELITE tracks stats and more."
that's from bowling's twitter feed. No idea what they are gonna offer that's gonna be interesting enough to make ppl to pay for it every month.

One might speculate that you'll get next to zero achievements or statistics without it or some such nonsense. I honestly cannot see the business sense is having a non-gameplay based subscription package for DLC only without deducting some form of ingame facility from the non-premium users.....

Yeah, but having a map that shows you the exact location of every person who shoots a single bullet is ridiculous, and so is the presence of a crosshair imho. Why even include iron sights if you have a crosshair?
I play mostly wars against other teams though, and that's why I think HC is better : it forces you to cooperate with your team to locate enemies, but I suppose it isn't the best solution for a casual FFA game... Yet it still manages to get rid of most of the noobish perks such as commando pro and stopping power

perhaps statistically not but i was more talking of personal experience. in most cases hardcore matches seemed more 'fair' to me than regular matches.

Well, you don't need stopping power. Other than that you're right.
But I wouldn't say Hardcore is for noobs. I've encountered more skilled players on Hardcore servers than on normal ones.
My problem with HC is that you need completely different classes for it. So It's either HC only, or SC only unless you want to change your classes every time you play.
Also @Knife discussion: I hate Knife running, It has no place in this game, as well as throwing knives. But I used to play as Knife-Runner some time ago, and It was damn effective. You don't need an entire enemy team of noobs, to win as knife runner. As long as you don't mindlessly charge your opponents, it can work. (Until ~80% of the enemy team SPAS the shit out of you) Nonetheless I don't want MLC runner in my Call of Duty - For the same reasons as Quickscoping. Not because it's OP, but because it looks stupid as shit.

Wait, what? Are you saying that it is easier to play on a mode where a single bullet can kill you than in a mode where you could actually hit a guy with half the ammo in your barrel and he'd still be running like nothing happened? Oo

The real element of skill is locating your enemy with the sound that and his guns make, there's no skill needed to look at a minimap which basically shows you the whole enemy team. I actually use silencers on 5 out of 10 classes in HC mode, including 2 sniper classes

That was my point actually, why even bother making crosshairs for the easy mode D:

This is just stupid. You don't need 10 bullets to kill a guy, even if he's wearing a kevlar suit. Is this Modern Warfare or Team Fortress?
Chyros, on 4 Jun 2011, 13:57, said:
Yes, but I find myself unconsciously relying on the minimap more than on the surroundings, it also makes team work pretty much useless since you just have to look at the red dots to know where the enemy is, instead of having to decipher your silly teammates info

ok a quick look into Bowling's twitter:
"What COD ELITE offers FREE to all players. My favorite? Adjust custom classes on the fly, from your phone. #MW3"
"Yes sir, the service runs on tablets, mobile, and more"
