That tech is pretty awesome indeed.
That playstation move game looked pretty sweet as well to be honest.

Mike

Edit - If Ubisofts presenter was annoying, this guy is a lot worse. At least the Ubisoft guy had enthusiasm.

Each to his own, I don't mind the Sony guy nearly as much as the Ubisoft man.

:Not a fan of hand helds, but damn.. that PS Vita is a really nice piece of tech.

What the hell is Vita?! Is it another word for PSP2?

Skyrim is up on GT, I am interested in seeing if they can get me into the series because my friends are more or less beating me for not having played Oblivion :xD:
Do yourself a favour and skip Oblivion, go straight to Morrowind.

Play Oblivion. See if you like it. Try Morrowind afterwards.

Yeahh the NGP (next generation portable=psp2) is now known as vita and the demos did look pretty sweet. I'm really lookin forward to some more info on bf3 as that game looked gorgeous. Also as an EvE-player, I'm interested to hear more about Dust 514. Batman arkham city is looking great and I know that I'll be getting it already when it's released :xD:

So the WiiU is Nintendo finally going HD. Its not just a peripheral for the Wii (which is what I thought initially) but its their entire new console.

Now theyre going cross platform, revealing a raft of games for the WiiU, Arkham Asylum, Darksiders 2 and Colonial Marines.

The first part 3ds games looked like ass, and they really skimmed over Zelda skyward sword. No F-Zero or Metroid which was utter fail.

I thought I was going to have shoot myself during the opening 20 minutes of Zelda masturbating, holy hell that was boring.
They shouldave just gotten right into WiiU BAM, WIIU, HD AND THIRD PARTY SUPPORT, NOT A Wii ADD-ON, A NEW CONSOLE and then degrade themselves with all that 3ds bull.

BTW, this is the news that made me await TS at E3. Its says E3 or just after, but then again it could just be some new random project and not TS at all :xD:

Sony's conference was awfully boring and lacked Kevin Butler.
Nintendo's stuff is uninteresting, too much waffle about how it connects ect and not enough specs or information. For half of it I though it was just a new controller (like Paved did).

Overall E3 has been disappointing to the point of not wanting to watch it next year.

Agreed, last year was bad, since they had to get the motion control phase out of the way, but this year? What the hell? Where are the big suprises? Even if GTAV was suddenly announced it still wouldnt claw back all the interest lost this year.

The Nintendo conferance was better than Sony's and overall i thought E3 went well :xD:
There was a lot of new footage and some cool new IP's shown.
Also, I'm pretty sure Ryse would be Crytek's new IP. When that came up, that should have ended the thoughts about TS.

Mike

Edit - The ranking

1. Ubisoft
2. Microsoft
3. Nintendo
4. EA / Sony

Overall I thought it was a pretty good E3 this year.

Ubisoft - Rayman Origins looked amazing, finally a return to precision based 2D platforming for Rayman. Trackmania 2 looked good. Disappointed that shootmania was not shown. Far Cry 3 looked excellent. A return to an island environment is always welcome. Hopefully it will play similarly to the first Far Cry game and expansion, Far Cry: Instincts.

Nintendo - The opening went on for slightly too long, although I expected something big for Zelda's 25th Anniversary. Smash Bros confirmed for both the 3ds and new Wii U console. That's a HUGE bombshell.
The new console looks pretty different, which is typical of Nintendo recently. Certainly seems to have potential. Sad that specs were not shown/revealed. later this year I suppose. The 3DS games looked pretty good. At the end of this year it will finally have a decent line-up of games.

Microsoft - The new Tomb Raider looked like a great step forward for the series. Worth keeping an eye on. Gears 3 looked as epic and great as ever. Sadly Kinect took up a large portion of the show. Star Wars Kinect looked, crap at best. Wasted potential IMO.

Sony - The Sony CEO really lacked charisma sadly. Uncharted 3 looked great, as did the NGP, Playstation Vita lineup. Good to know a new Sly Cooper game is in the works. Really liked the original game, great platforming.

EA - Honestly EA's conference really bored me this year. Especially disappointing after how well they did last year. (Crysis 2, Bulletstorm reveal, etc).

So I'd rank them as:

1. Ubisoft
2. Nintendo/Microsoft (I think they tied, Nintendo had a new interesting console, whereas Microsoft had some big games).
4. Sony
4. EA

PS. No new Timesplitters, or Retro game made me sad. :( Maybe next year.

Goodpoint. :D I should have said, that the press conferences were pretty good this year.

Three Wii U games are being shown on the Nintendo website. The games are Chase Mii, Battle Mii and Shield Pose. They show the potential of the new controller quite nicely.

Wii U Demonstration Video

IGN reported on these new games/demo's in case anyone is interested. http://uk.wii.ign.co.../1173479p1.html, http://uk.wii.ign.co.../1173481p1.html.

Tbh these look quite a bit better than the Wii Sports series of Mii games. I like the fact that two of these newer games are almost spoofing Nintendo franchises. (Mario and Metroid).

Mass Effect 3 up in 30 minutes on IGN, followed by Battlefield 3. Can't wait for those :xD:

Space Marine ain't on untill Thursday, and BioShock Infinite is on at a bad time for me, which makes me sad. Atleast it's probably up for view afterwards.

Thats Crytek's new IP (The main company is called 'Crytek Frankfurt'), but not Crytek UK's. Crytek UK's new game hasn't been announced at all (and they haven't denied it from being TS yet).

NFS: The Run looks pretty good, I just hope they stick to the more realistic physics of the last few games, rather than the crappy arcade gameplay of a lot of the recent games. A more story driven game isn't a bad thing either...

Sure it would probably be better to just have cutscenes, but tbh, it could be worse, you could have full control of the person... Non-car related physics in a car game is always just awful (often the opposite is true as well). As long as it's kept to a minimum and they don't forget that it's a driving franchise, it should be all right.

True, To be fair, the driving elements did look pretty nice.
Not sure if it impressed me as much as Driver but it did look nice.
