Not confirmed yet, but most likely. If it's generals 2, hopefully it's generals 2 NOT just a game called generals 2.

EXACTLY!

If they not do it, they must atleast create 3 "unique characteristic" sides, just like how GLA tactics completely different than what you can do with China or USA ( tunnels etc... )

And of course Generals Powers and Challenge mode !

Similarities between that and the first teaser image anyone? |8

Will be keeping a close eye on the VGAs later today, a new Generals would be... very nice :D

Wish I would have gotten here sooner, I would have saved the image before it was taken down, Not that it matters, the VGA's are in a few hours and Alliances will be revealed.

You don't say, especially when it's a cache from the Origin website such as this one:

In the near future, world leaders are mere seconds from signing a global treaty and bringing an end to war as we know it when a devastating terrorist attack rips through the peace conference, killing all in attendance. In a world left with no politicians, diplomats, or activists, only the Generals remain. It’s up to you to assume their roles, command their forces, and put an end to global terrorism once and for all.

Features:

All-Out War — Take control of three unique factions, competing for resources, building up your base of operation, and leading massive batteries of tanks, soldiers, and aircraft into battle.

Uncanny Sense of Realism — Frostbite 2 technology allows for visceral, visually stunning conflict at an epic scale. Incredibly detailed units and environments, dynamic physics, and exhilarating visual effects bring the battle to life in ways never before seen. This is the closest thing to real war without the consequences.

New Ways to Dominate or Ally with Your Friends — Go beyond classic deathmatch with a selection of new multiplayer game modes, designed with both cooperative and competitive play in mind.

Thrilling CampaignCommand the war on terror in an electrifying single-player campaign. Experience the dramatic story from multiple perspectives — from heroic General to crazed terrorist — while engaging the enemy in pulse-pounding tactical combat.

Ever-Evolving Experience — Enhance your game with an expanding array of downloadable content. From maps and units to factions, campaigns, and more, the fight against terrorism is deeper than ever.

More like Red Alert 3 vibes, actually... The units on that last screenie look like Orcas and RA3 Allied transport, and the tanks on the teaser video looked like the allied tanks from RA3 as well :/
Also, looks like there's a VCM style construction, judging from that building in the bottom right D:

Frostbite engine? YUM.

Also, I'm not getting anything like C&C4 vibes from it. Looks like a mishmash of RA3 and the original Generals tbh. Might irritate me to go back to the old style of C&C building as opposed to the General's dozers, but that's about it. Genuinely quite impressed that it's going on such a powerful engine, I was very afraid it would be SAGE-ified again.

Why do you assume Dozers are gone? I highly doubt they are. I'm excited it's a 2013 release date, I really hate the look of USA, hopefully that will change like it did for Generals 1.

GLA confirmed, but you should have already known that from the first time you saw those vehicles.

Dozers are back, but that's a given considering it's Generals.

I can say with confidence that DLC will be additional Generals and not entire new factions for reasons I shouldn't have to explain.

Generals 2 forum now open. I wouldn't pay to much attention to the Bioware hype, it makes for a good headline but Victory Games was created for the purpose of developing this game and as Bioware has zero experience in the genre it doesn't really make sense that they would be contributing much besides their name and perhaps features we don't know about yet.

I assume because of the blend of the RA3. If they're not gone I'll be a happy bunny, but nothing to support or deny the theory so far. 2013 release date also makes me very very happy, mind. No rushing is always a good thing these days :D

To assume they would remove one of the franchises defining features without reason, when the fan base would be universally against it is a bit silly.
