How come my modified uber railguns on this ship I'm working on don't work???None of my custom weapons seem to work???

IIRC the ship's HP determines the core's HP. In this case you got it right. However, you can also set a custom HP for ship's sections. Just right click on a section and choose Set Custom HP or something like that.

There's no way it couldn't work, assuming you do the right thing:

1. Place weapons
2. Right click, then select Set HP, Clip Size etc. (This has to be done manually to each weapons on the ship)
3. Save and upload in sandbox
4. ????

I do that but it just doesn't work.eg. I start a game with the new ship with customized weapons and they don't fire.

Of course, nothing would be able to beat that. Even my ship a few pages back is at least 'beatable'. There's simply zero weak point o that ship.

Is there a way to make the sand box map bigger? so I can have a fleet engagement without seing the other fleet at the edge of my formation?
-edit- are there custom weapons/turrets available for dl. Also how do I make a carrier ship work? You know with drones and stuff.

My ships may look powerful, but often suffer from poor turret coverage and, most of all, excruciating maneuverability. So with good micro, smaller ships can defeat them quite easily. And if the maneuverability is actually somewhat good, like the Schwalbe, the ship is a fighter and hence has very poor armour protection.

NOTE: All direct support ships, like their WWII counterparts, have only forward-facing weapons (with the exception of the occasional flak turret in the lighter variants), so attacking from the sides or rear is imperative to bring these monsters down.

How do I make carrier ships work? How do I add the launchers what are they called and yes I'm a total newb but my next master piece kicks total arse. Really it does look sweet.

AFAIK, the Demeter is the one you want. It launches those little round drones that zip about enemy ships.

Either that, or the Demeter Pod Launcher module, or both. The difference between them is that the Pod Launcher launches six extended-life Demeter drones, unlike 3 standard Demeter drone for the smaller launcher. However the Pod Launcher is a module rather than weapon emplacement, so you have to fire them manually and it takes longer to recharge.

This page is all you need for infos on modules and weapons.

Looks aren't everything. It may not have state-of-the-art OMGWTFBBQ 3D graphics or 28000000000 poly models, but it's got it where it counts.
