that one is realy impresive =] do i see some chesis there ( is it a transformer =])
any way the base that holding every thing in the center looks a little to much simple and wiard besids that every thing looks great keep it up =]

@freedom: no, it's not a transformer, although it could have "modes" :] and about the chassis, you're absolutely right, it didn't feel good when i finished it. nevertheless, it fits the whole and i wanted to make it not too heavy on the polycount so it could be used in a mod =]

@wizard: trust me, if i could, i would. but due to me losing my 3ds max 9 serial, i can't even learn it :[

Dark Matter Tank FTW :) ( Well you didn't say its name but its easy to imagine it that way |8 )

Also it will be good to see that tank in more detailed way, you can add countless things to it, it looks promising even with that way.

it's still meant to be in a mod... the polycount is already fairly high.

details are always a great bonus but usually a good skin can do miracles. and preserve valuable polies |8

nice model :)

I think the "dark matter tank" would fit even better in FF than the spider tank, would be easier and has a more decent poly count :P

would you like to see it in FF?

you're probably right. how much i'd like to see the spider in game, i think it's just too immensely difficult to animate correctly so... yeah, have the tank and give me the spider back. ill contact you later, my comp broke down yesterday.

model tiem.

a relatively high-poly gun this time, done in about 5 hours... i wanted to go for a slight steampunk-ish look by actually modelling all kinds of parts and then assemble them as if i really made the thing out of a bunch of scrap.

the gun itself is a single-fire air pressure slug cannon. the big cannister on the side contains compressed air that sends the projectile flying, the smaller cannister is both a *lubricant* for the barrel and a cooling gel at the same time, preventing the gun to overheat. i also made a little switch that can switch the firing mode between slug and spread. i tried to put a lot of detail into it and yet keep the polycount relatively low. for example, almost all bolts use only a hexagon for base as it still looks sturdy and solid from afar and close by. but enough talk, here's the deal:

If you wanted a truly real weapon, the only thing I'd add would be a counterwieght opposite the canister, or it will tend to pull the aim round to the right in use.

It's exceptionally detailed and thought through, keep up the good work.

update time. two new models this time :lol:

first one is a free model, anyone who wants it can have it. (given that you can trick me into loving your mod)

it's a powerful defence station sporting three big missile launchers. the red "hood" can be popped to provide whatever the mod maker wants it to be. can be bunker, PDL, whatsoever...
